Organic gardening is growing something from the earth. You may think that this means all gardening is organic gardening and you would be wrong. Many products on the market such as fertilizers, soils, and even vitamins for plants consist of synthetic materials that are not considered to be organic.
Anything that comes from the earth, animals, soil, plants, insects, and even humans are all considered to be organic. Fertilizers from vegetables and from animal feces are used in organic gardening.
Insects Used In Organic Gardening
Beneficial insects are used in organic gardening to ward off any harmful bugs that destroy the plants. The insects are used instead of harmful insecticides that absorb into our food.
When you think of all the chemicals that are put into the ground and on the plant to grow the food we eat, organic gardening seems to be the solution to many of our ailments. There are many produce departments that carry fruits and vegetables that were produced from organic gardening.
