The wider the tray, the wider your desk must be. You need to consider how much space you will need to hold your keyboard and mouse comfortably, and with room to move.
Once you have selected the best ergonomic keyboard arm for your specific setup, attach the track to the underside of your desk using small screws and a screwdriver or hand-held drill.
