Asphalt driveways are very common to have. However, not many people know that they can repair them with a few simple products from the hardware store. You will need to gather these items before you begin your asphalt driveway repair.
- A bucket of cold patch (for the big cracks)
- Liquid asphalt in a squirt bottle (for the smaller cracks)
- Weed killer (if you have weeds growing out of your driveway)
- Spatula (used for spreading the cold patch)
- Sand (if the big cracks are deep)

- If you have any weeds make sure to pull them out first. If you have a flathead screwdriver it will help get the roots out and spray the weeds with the weed killer.
- After letting the weed killer dry, fill in the small cracks with the liquid asphalt.
- For the bigger cracks you will want to fill up the crack until there’s ¼ inch left at the top and then apply the cold patch. You can use the spatula to smooth it out.

- Make sure you set enough time aside for the project, It could take up 8 hours to do the project.
- Let the finished product cure for a couple days to a week.
- Don’t forget to wash and seal the asphalt repairs after the curing period.
