A glass door pull is essential if you want to be able to easily open your sliding glass door. The glass door pull that is provided with sliding glass doors is not easy to grip so it is often difficult to open doors using this style.
Option 1 - A Simple Handle
One of the most common alternative glass door pull designs is a simple handle which is attached directly to the sliding glass door using screws. This is an inexpensive option and it works very well on smaller doors. One thing to consider when looking at this option is that it is best to use it only on smaller doors. With large doors the added weight can lead to the screws stripping out. If this does happen it is extremely difficult to use.
Option 2 - A Glass Door Pull
Another option is a type of glass door pull which attaches to the glass directly. This type must is more difficult to install because the framing around the glass must be removed. The glass door pull is then slipped over the glass and the framing is reattached. The benefit to this style is it will work even on extremely heavy glass doors.
