Most of the insulation has been installed in the stud walls downstairs. I will continue with this effort until I run out of material. My grandson helped with the vaulted wall on the east end of the house as it was too much for my husband who is on oxygen 24/7.

Finally, we were able to get a crew available to help with the ceiling installation. It is definitely a 2 man effort. The 1x6 T&G Aspen is installed on the bedroom, bathroom, and utility room ceilings. We also completed the walls in the bathroom and utility room with 1x8 T&G White Pine. This week we will continue with the ceiling under the loft landing and in the kitchen area. Check back for more updates.

We have completed the flat ceilings downstairs with the exception of the closets which will be lined with aromatic T&G cedar. The photo is of the ceiling just below the stair landing. It involved cutting a close arc to fit the post. We also installed 90% of the insulation in the loft walls and ceiling. Will finish that when I pick up more insulation. I will be starting on the bedroom and kitchen walls this weekend.

I completed the long bedroom wall today in a herringbone pattern with 1x6 T&G Blue Ponderosa Pine planks. Blue Ponderosa Pine planks have also been applied to the wall that backs up to the kitchen under the staircase and the refrigerator area in the kitchen. Trim will be applied after all the walls are completed.
